Carolina Thread Trail and Suspension Bridge

Carolina Thread Trail and Suspension Bridge
Trailhead at back of Harvey Clay Nesbit Park
Waxhaw, NC  28173

Visit Waxhaw's other famous bridge!  The trailhead for this portion of the Carolina Thread Trail is located at the back of Harvey Clay Nesbit Park, down the gravel road behind the traffic circle. The first part of the trail leads to a street in the Millbridge community-- cross the street and the trail continues slightly to the left.  The hike to the suspension bridge is about half a mile long and traces Tweve Mile Creek.  The Cross-State Suspension bridge crosses the creek and joins the North Carolina and South Carolina portions of the trail. On the South Carolina side, the trail continues for an additional 3.9 miles and ends at Walnut Creek Park in Lancaster County, SC.
